About the shop
Occasionette is a curated gift shop. Its original location opened in 2013 on South Philly's East Passyunk Avenue, boasting one of the city's largest selections of independent cards and gifts. In the summer of 2017, a second location opened in nearby Collingswood, NJ.
In both locations you'll find cards for every occasion, candles, tea towels, jewelry, bar wares, candies, notebooks, journals, photo frames and much more. Occasionette has seeks to be an asset to its community in each neighborhood, from serving as a site host for CSA's from local farms and being the perfect place to pick up that little something for the people you love.

About our team
Sara (owner & creative director)
Sara has worked in the gift industry since 2006, first with her own line of illustrated goods, Girls Can Tell gift co., then as a community manager for Etsy.com, and now at Occasionette. When she's not in the shop, Sara likes to annoy her rescued pit-mix mutt, Janiedog, seek out new craft beers with her husband, Erik, or putz around in her garden.
Maggie (stationery buyer & general manager)
One of our first shop gals at Occasionette, Maggie brings a strong stationery game to Occasionette, having previously worked at some legendary paper goods destinations. In addition to her intense love of stationery, we're pretty convinced there isn't a person in Philadelphia who likes pizza more than Maggie. Her secret talent, though, is remembering the name of every dog who visits the shop.
